Tools

Let’s find you the right tool for the job.

Whether you’re trying to make a video, host a seminar, create a quiz or conduct a summative assessment, there’s no shortage of helpful tools to do it digitally. The downside is that it’s often confusing to know where to start. 🤯

We’ve collected a list of current digital tools and grouped them according to how well they integrate with Aula and how available they are to staff.

This list of tools is based on the Teaching & Learning Ecosystem document and is reviewed on a monthly basis to align to any changes to software provision.

Filter Tools By Support Level

There are a wide range of tools available, but some integrate more smoothly with Aula than others. Even if a tool isn’t rated as “Preferred”, it doesn’t mean it isn’t the best fit for you and your module.

Here’s what the labels mean:

  • Preferred: These tools integrate well with Aula and will likely be a good experience for you and your students. They’re typically available to all teaching staff at Coventry
  • Supported: These are also typically available for all teaching staff. They may not hook into Aula as seamlessly as a preferred tool, but they may have features which would be beneficial to your needs
  • Managed: Managed tools may be limited to your faculty or freely available online, but you’ll need to check with your Associate Head (Student Experience) and stick to the University Group Social Media Policy and supporting guidelines before using them
